Mr. Francis Keith Heck, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday March 5, 2010 at La Porte Hospital.
He was born May 4, 1933 in Goodland, Indiana, the son of John Heck and Marie J. (Jensen) Heck.
Francis worked for Modine Mfg. for forty years, he retired in 1992. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korea Conflict. Francis enjoyed gardening and talking and visiting with members of the neighborhood.
He married Patty Czech in LaPorte, IN. and remarried Violet Cauffman in LaPorte, IN.
He is survived by his daughter, Tamra Hayman of La Porte, IN; granddaughter, Leah Hayman of Indianapolis, IN. and very close friends, Robert & Rose Borst.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Floyd Heck, sister, Lois Komp.
Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Patton Cemetery.
